Fossil Fuel Air Pollution is a cause of cancer in many of the states. Yet we continue billion dollar programs to explore space and supplement the oil and coal industries. Have you looked at the gasoline prices lately? Our prices in North Carolina are back up in the $2.60s’ plus and expected to go higher. If the federal government cannot give renewable energy the importance that it deserves we need to push the state governments to accelerate their own programs to have incentives for local development. North Carolina has long been noted for being the “First State In Flight” what will be the “First State In Renewable Energy”? States looking for economic development should be pushing for every opportunity to support energy generation and development from renewable sources. There is plenty of opportunity to sell solar electric, batteries, charge controllers, inverters, generators and other items. The first company that makes a kit to allow a home to collect, store and use renewable electric could become larger than IBM since the idea would be applicable to persons in every country. Individuals really don’t understand the importance of electric until they encounter a blackout or high prices. People take for granted that electric will be available when they hit the wall switch. What will happen when we have a very cold snap or killing heat and experience a blackout or some terrorist attack on the power grid. The real answer is a major federal program to manufacture solar cells for solar arrays. An effort that would reopen closed manufacturing plants and create jobs for thousands. We could also convert prison plants so that they manufacture solar cells rather than license plates. This would also have them return something back to the society that they have turned against by their actions. It would also give them experience so that they could have a job or work for themselves when they leave prison. Colleges should create a new career for students in small business of generating electric. A career that could be kick started by a Small Business Administration energy grant to finance the solar arrays and wind turbines to initialize the business. Then using part of the income to increase output by building up their site and using new technologies. A business without a ceiling, in high demand for the product, and no discrimination. A business where you are the boss and you set the schedule. Also a business for the family and one you could leave as part of your legacy. For the most part it is also a business that disabled individuals can operate.
I would envision that a site would need to be
supervised but even that could be automated so it can be done over the Internet
network. A site that would consist of multiple generation sources. Solar and wind would dominate but biomass, geothermal
and hydro could be the big profit maker.
All this push for renewable electric would also give added incentives to
the automobile industry so that they would see how the population would like to
buy electric vehicles that they could plug into their own home electric to
refill rather than support all the middlemen involved with coal and oil. Imagine working at home and owning an Energy
Farm site that can generate electric 24/7 from solar, wind and biomass. Then using the Internet to attend school or
vocation topics and doing all this from anywhere in the world with Internet
access.
What
is needed is that YOU (yes YOU) get involved and send letters to the government
officials and notify others to do the same.

What the world needs is more attention spent on developing a
supply of clean electric from renewable sources. Resources that are available throughout most of the world. Rather then heaping praises on actors and
those in sports we should be honoring those that make life better for
everyone. Those who can make the
quality of life better for all. What we
need are home designs and government incentives that create homes that not only
supply their own electric needs but can also place excess electric out onto the
power grid.

AGAIN:
The difference with our group is that we are promoting and encouraging energy independence using clean renewable sources and promoting jobs and incentives for the creation of Energy Farms. We will also cover becoming independent and how best to run it as a small business thus it is not just to support your personal energy needs but for an income-producing career.
- We will be asking people to write letters to their representatives to push for this goal by supporting legislation that promote Renewable Energy.
- We are
asking the government to attack the issue of energy independence the same
way we pushed the Apollo Program which landed a man on the moon and we
will ask people to get behind the issue with the same enthusiasm that fans
show for sporting events and for
- We will encourage colleges to create a curriculum to show people a new career alternative, that of generating electric and selling it to the utilities.
- We will push for a standard acceptable contract for independent power producers and the utilities so that the additional legal costs can be avoided.
- We will also seek reasonable environmental controls. We are the stewards of our planet and we need to maintain it so that future generations can enjoy it in safety.
- Backing would come from a Small Business Administration (SBA) loan guarantee with up to $500,000. The idea is to create a small business opportunity for individuals and families as a home based business.
- Being energy independent should avoid future wars over oil and lost lives while benefiting the standard of living for people worldwide.

If we can put together a site that generates a good income and a sustainable career for people we can replicate it across the country and create jobs for thousands of people.
