While oil prices keep going up and corporations are looking to drop retirement plans for current employees and those who have already retired with a “promised” retirement plan wouldn’t the following scenario be one to aim for. Individuals retiring to the suburbs and urban areas and using SBA funds to build energy farms to generate electric to sell back to the power grid. Creating clean electric to not only provide a lasting income but a legacy for their family, national power stability and a cleaner environment. Not only being self-reliant for electrical needs but able to grow food year round with electric heating/cooling but also using the power lines to provide hem broadband access to the internet. The access along with television availability could allow them access to year round education without leaving home (see www.jmja.com/homeschooling/). A combination of continual education, the ability to work at home doing what you like as a hobby while generating an income with renewable electric form solar, wind, water, biomass or some new emerging technology.
What if the government helped disabled and wounded troops get started in their energy farm? Rather than feeling they are being kept by the taxpayers with funds to support them they could have their own small business since they would have only a little hard physical tasks to perform. Most of the business would be in monitoring and planning how to grow and improve operation. Connecting these groups together via the Internet for communications would not only provide them with a national organization to push for incentives and to communicate optimum methods to make them more productive.
Below are several sites that can provide funding for solar and information along with stories on what some people have done or are doing with renewable energy. Feel free to write the editor and we will help you anyway we can. We hope that we can raise some leaders to advance this idea. We have applied for several grants and have been helping several readers investigate and possibly move on to create their own Energy Farm.
It is important for everyone to do something for us to become energy independent. The longest journey starts with the first step, take a step.

What the world needs is more attention spent on developing a
supply of clean electric from renewable sources. Resources that are
available throughout most of the world.
Rather then heaping praises on actors and those in sports we should be
honoring those that make life better for everyone. Those who can make the quality of life better
for all. What we need are home designs
and government incentives that create homes that not only supply their own
electric needs but can also place excess electric out onto the power grid.
What if:
It costs Homes
$10,000 to install systems for supplying their own electrical needs.
A owner could generate electric for 10 homes for $100,000.
A person could
generate electric for 100 homes for $500,000
The average
home electric bill was $100
The person
producing electric for 10 homes would make $1,000 per month
The person

Millions of people would elect to get an SBA loan or other
business loan to create a small business to generate electric from solar, wind,
water or other
form of clean renewable
electric. The idea would act as a
motivator for corporations to do more research and development in the energy
sector. The country would have

The difference with our group is that we are promoting and encouraging energy independence using clean renewable sources and promoting jobs and incentives for the creation of Energy Farms. We will also cover becoming independent and how best to run it as a small business thus it is not just to support your personal energy needs but for an income-producing career.
If you feel the same way please add your voice in the battle. Sign up for our monthly Newsletters.
We are promoting companies to send in their best designs for a small Energy Farm in the $200,000 to $500,000 range. If we can put together a site that generates a good income and a sustainable career for people we can replicate it across the country and create jobs for thousands of people. As part of the effort we will cover various products, home design and independent living ideas. Feel free to send your ideas to mailto:editor@energyfarms.org
