Editorial
Welcome to our third issue of the Energy Digest! As usual, this is a GRASSROOTS movement and
all the results depend on you! We now have
our own domain (www.energyfarms.org) and
moved and added information to the site.
The current site is a simple HTML web site while we are in the process
of improving the presentation with web software we wanted to continue getting
information out.
New Sections/Information which were added to this edition:
- The Challenge –
Manufactures/Dealers do your best in convincing readers to choose your
product in our $200k/$500k Challenge which will give you the
ability to submit your product/design to see what an independent can
produce for $200,000 through $500,000.
I will also invite financial people to produce rates for loans for
backing sites for $200,000 through $500,000 that generate electric.
- Product Reviews –
We are building a database on how users feel about the various products
that they have experience with. This review will be built around your
feedback and will hopefully help manufacturers improve their
products. If you believe that
additional questions would help please feel free to send them in.
- The Q PAGE - We will print one question every
Newsletter and seek the answer from our readers, it will also have links
to the FAQs’ and Qs’&As’ on our web site.
- Suggested Actions –
A list of suggested actions you can take to support our goals.
- Talking Points
– A list of points of why we are pushing our goals.
- Brochure – A
brochure that supports the group that you can print, make copies and give
to others
- Presentation –
Power Point presentation explaining the goals of Energy Farms
- Solar and Wind products – As
we get information in we will add it to this site but this in not our
product comparison database, just product information.
The difference with our group is that we are promoting and
encouraging energy independence using clean renewable sources and promoting
jobs and incentives for the creation of Energy Farms. We will also cover
becoming independent and how best to run it as a small business thus it is not
just to support your personal energy needs but for an income-producing career.
- We
will be asking people to write
letters to their representatives to push for this goal.
- We are
asking the government to attack the issue of energy independence the same
way we pushed the Apollo Program to land a man on the moon and we will ask
people to get behind the issue with the same enthusiasm that fans show for
sporting events and for movies.
- We
will encourage colleges to create a curriculum to show people a
new career alternative, that of generating electric and selling it to the
utilities.
- We
will push for a standard acceptable contract for independent
power producers and the utilities so that the additional legal costs can
be avoided.
- We
will also seek reasonable environmental
controls. We are the stewards of our planet and we need to maintain it so
that future generations can enjoy it in safety.
- Being
energy independent should avoid future wars over oil and lost lives while
benefiting the standard of living for people worldwide.
If you feel the same way please add your voice in the
battle.
We also put together our 1st
sample site(s). If we can put together
a site that generates a good income and a sustainable career for people we can
replicate it across the country and create jobs for thousands of people. As
part of the effort we will cover various products, home design and independent
living ideas. Feel free to send your
ideas to mailto:editor@energyfarms.org
Please also feel free to send this newsletter to others, but
do not spam!
If you are receiving multiple copies please e-mail us with
the address you want removed.
I also included the contents from previous issues and a link
to it on the web
This newsletter promotes independent living and
environmental stewardship.
Some near terms growth plans.
- We are
picking up advisors and future contributors for articles, we have several people
who have been interested all their lives but didn’t know how to get
involved. We will have their bios
in future Newsletters.
- We
would like to publish more frequently than every month so we are looking
for sponsors to help us publish more frequently and to become a non-profit
organization promoting mid-scale energy generation and energy
independence.
- Some
subscribers to the Newsletter are from other countries, involved with the
environment and would like to help their countrymen become independent and
build their own family energy farm.
- We are looking to team up with a energy non-profit to seek
funding from funding sources to the benefit of our goal. If your group
would like to consider sponsoring our group please contact us at editor@energyfarms.org
To keep the Newsletter short we try to provide links to most
items, just double click and you should be taken to the item. Please send this Newsletter to others!
Prior to sending out the Newsletter all links are checked
BUT since they are on other sites there is no assurance that they will work nor
will they work in the future!
